2010

Company Established

Lake Victoria Logistics is founded, beginning operations with a single vessel servicing key ports in Tanzania and Uganda.

2014

First Major Expansion

Acquired two additional cargo vessels and expanded our ground transport fleet to 10 trucks to offer door-to-port services.

2017

Opened Mwanza Hub

Established our first major logistics and warehousing hub in Mwanza, Tanzania, creating a strategic southern anchor for regional distribution.

2020

Launched Digital Platform

Introduced a state-of-the-art digital platform allowing clients real-time cargo tracking and streamlined shipment management.

Chief Executive Officer

Dinesh Donadi serves as Chief Executive Officer of Lake Victoria Logistics, leading the company's strategic development, operational execution and transformation of regional fuel-and-cargo logistics across the Lake Victoria corridor.

With extensive experience in major infrastructural, marine and energy-logistics projects, Mr Donadi brings deep project-management and execution capabilities to the role. Under his leadership, Lake Victoria Logistics is deploying lakeside fuel-storage and transport infrastructure that cuts road-haulage dependency, enhances regional supply-chain efficiency and supports cost-effective fuel distribution to Uganda and neighbouring land-locked markets. Working across multi-million-dollar terminals, jetty infrastructure and lake-shipping operations, Mr Donadi's focus is on safely scaling the company's capacity, optimising logistics flow, strengthening partnerships with national and regional stakeholders, and delivering on the vision of setting a new benchmark for petroleum logistics in East Africa. Dr Steve Omenge Mainda (EBS) is an accomplished corporate leader, governance expert, and seasoned director with over three decades of experience in finance, insurance, real estate, and strategic enterprise management across East Africa.

He brings to Lake Victoria Logistics a wealth of board-level expertise in guiding organizations through growth, compliance, and transformation. A respected thought leader in corporate governance, Dr Mainda has held several distinguished roles, including Non-Executive Director of Sasini PLC and former Chairman of HF Group PLC. His strategic oversight has been instrumental in shaping sustainable, ethically grounded corporate performance in diverse sectors. He holds a Master's degree from Princeton University, a Diploma in Management from the University of Cambridge, and a Doctorate (Honoris Causa) from the University of Eastern Africa. He is also an Associate of the Chartered Insurance Institute (London) and a Fellow of the Institute of Directors (London). At Lake Victoria Logistics, Dr Mainda supports the Board in strengthening governance systems, stakeholder trust, and long-term strategic planning as the company expands its footprint in marine logistics, fuel supply, and regional transport infrastructure. Before joining the Lake Victoria Logistics Board, Mr Kipturgo built a distinguished career at Siginon Group, one of East Africa's largest integrated logistics firms, where he rose to become Group Managing Director. Under his leadership, Siginon expanded its footprint across Kenya, Uganda, and Tanzania, growing its service portfolio to include air cargo handling, freight forwarding, warehousing, and fleet management. At Lake Victoria Logistics, Mr Kipturgo brings a results-driven and forward-thinking approach to strategy execution, focusing on optimizing multimodal connectivity — from lake transport to road and depot operations. Mr Shankar currently serves as Chairman of Mahathi Infra Services Pvt Ltd, a respected engineering-and-infrastructure conglomerate whose operations span EPC for oil & gas, storage terminals, marine infrastructure and manufacturing of pressure vessels. At Lake Victoria Logistics he focuses on strategic infrastructure development — including fuel-storage depots, vessel loading and discharge infrastructure and cross-border maritime/road logistics systems. He brings to the board a governance mindset, global project-management experience, and a commitment to safe, reliable and sustainable operational execution. Additionally, he has served on the board of Cenpower Generation, the special-purpose vehicle behind the Kpone Independent Power Plant in Ghana. At Lake Victoria Logistics, Mr Darlington provides strategic oversight on regional transport corridors, multimodal supply-chain operations, and infrastructure development. His extensive experience in infrastructure finance, project delivery, and governance supports operational excellence and sustainable growth. Strategic Fleet Modernization

Our ongoing investment in our maritime and ground fleet is central to our promise of reliability and efficiency. We are systematically upgrading to newer, more fuel-efficient, and higher-capacity assets to meet growing demand and reduce our environmental impact.

  • Constructed and commissioned 2 new-generation, low-emission vessels in 2023 & 2024.
  • Scheduled construction of two more vessels with advanced navigation systems.
  • Commitment to achieve a 100% modern fleet by the end of 2028.
Port infrastructure development works

Expanding Our Infrastructure

We are expanding our physical footprint with state-of-the-art warehousing and port facilities. These investments enhance our storage capacity, improve cargo handling times, and create a more resilient supply chain network across the region.

  • Ongoing construction of a new 10,000 sq. metre warehouse in Kisumu, Kenya.
  • Upgrading our port-side heavy-lift equipment for faster vessel turnaround.
  • Installation of solar power systems at our major hubs to reduce energy costs.
